Kim Sparks
Licensee/General Manager
Returning to the Pilbara was inevitable for Kim Sparks.
After spending several years in Busselton honing his skills in the real estate industry, the opportunity to enter the dynamic Real Estate industry of the Pilbara when offered was quickly snapped up.
"The first few months have been an eye opener. There are so many opportunities up here for people, everything is so positive."
Not one to let the grass grow under his feet, Kim brings to town not only a wealth of Real Estate knowledge that will ultimately enhance the capabilities of the Karratha First National team, but hopefully his community involvement will see many sporting bodies develop further.
Kim is a Director with Ironman WA, and his involvement in this event over several years assisting World Triathlon Corporation has seen the local Busselton Ironman event grow to one of the more popular Ironman events in the world calendar.
Kim was also the coach and committee member at Busselton Football, and president of Busselton Cycle Club.
He laughs off comments of himself on Facebook referring to his playing days with Swan Districts. "My claim to fame in 1990 the year we beat Claremont in the Grand Final. I was the mascot in the Swan suit. I pulled the tail off the Tiger mascot in pre game antiques right in front of their supporter base. It caused an uproar, although the Swan supporters in the crowd gave me a standing ovation. My magic moments during my playing days was the last 10 years I played and coached in 8 winning Grand Finals with different clubs. Every one of them memorable in their own respect."
"I took up cycling a few years ago when getting fit to trek the Kokoda Trail. My passion in this great sport has grown and I have since competed in many road racing, and mountain biking events. Cycling is the new Golf !!"
Kim's wife Steph will work as the Community Safety Officer and his two daughters Sophie 13 and Taylor 12 are looking forward to involvement in their new schools and chosen sports.
"It was a pretty big decision to up root the family from Busselton and move back to the Pilbara. We will miss our friends down there; however look forward to making new friends up here. Camping, fishing, exploring the tracks out the back blocks are all on my agenda. There's so much to see and do."
"The dynamics of real estate are simple. Treat everyone as you would like to be treated yourself, be transparent and honest in everything you."
"The team at First National have been welcoming, their work ethic is brilliant, and they genuinely seem to be enjoying their work. That is a great foundation for obtaining positive results, and the clients are the ones who will benefit from this positivity."
"As General Manager / Licensee it will be my role to oversee the day to day occurrences of the team, and to seek out further opportunities for clients, investors, and developers alike."
Kim's involvement in several successful large scale developments throughout the South West sees him bring a wealth of knowledge in this facet of real estate with him.
His philosophy in life is simple, "Live for today, plan for tomorrow."
His open door policy and friendly easy going nature will be sure to see him succeed in this venture.
